Bones
The way that Booth and Brennan are treating each other right now isn't even painful anymore, it is just stupid.

How disappointing.

I personally think it's being handled PERFECTLY. I don't have the right words to convey what I'm thinking, but if you go read obrien_blue's entries about the last couple of episodes, I think you will change your mind. If not, then that's fine, too, everyone has a right to their own opinion, but I just want people to understand how fantastically this show is progressing! :)

I just read her entries. What is funny is that she and I see the same things. We are interpreting the scenes in exactly the same way. She just thinks all of the awkward dancing is beautiful and perfect, and I am tired of it.

I'm still watching though. I am hopeful.

I swing between liking the progression and thinking it's all unrealistic and awkward.

I don't really know how to describe it. Brennan's characterisation is what bothers me most; it's all over the damn place. She's as socially awkward in season five as she was at the very start of the show IMO, and isn't one of the main themes of the show that Booth has taught her a lot and she's gradually opened up and relaxed? But in this latest ep, it was like we were being told that Booth and Brennan aren't compatible.

I agree. she's acting strangely, like suddenly her writing, which at first was her only humanizing element, is suddenly only human because of Angela?

However I don't think this last episode was showing them to be incompatible, quite the contrary. They went out with two people who were supposed to be more compatible to them than each other, and still ended up in a bar together at the end, because that is where they really want to be. My problem is that they know this. We know this. The reasons they are coming up with to stay apart seem forced to me and it is getting irritating. In my opinion, they need to either drive them apart with something more tangible or get them together.
