what happened to my happy ending?
Does anyone else get pissed off at the end of a movie or book when one ore more of the main characters dies?

This is especially infuriating when it is a romantic story, as I've just spent hours or days (depending on whether it is a movie or a book) investing in the lives of these characters and their relationship only to have them DIE! I always feel like I've wasted my time.

And yes, of course there are exceptions, like Romeo and Juliet or Moulen Rouge, because you pretty much know before you invest your time that these people are going to die. But in my personal opinion, there is nothing worse than an unexpected, tragic ending. Blegh!

If I want to cry about the sorry state of the world and all it's tragedies I'll, I don't know, open the window or turn on the news.

When I read stuff like that, I think it's a waste too. I usually think, 'Like, what's the friggin' point?' Wicked waste, honestly.
