sherbertglasses asked me:
1. What do you think is the Doctor and Rose's cutest moment?
A HUGE thanks to mrv3000 for providing the screencaps!
2. Where do you live, and what do you like about it?
I live in King of Prussia, PA in the United States. I like it because it is about a 40 minute drive from Philadelphia in one direction and the country in the other. It's a great location where we get all four seasons and as of yet, no huge natural disasters.
3. What is you're favorite romance novel and why?
Oh wow, that's a hard one. I have a few favorites for different reasons.
One of my all time favorites (which I categorize by the fact that I've read it over and over and over again) Is Jane Feather's Vixen.
It's about a battle-weary, broken man who falls in love with a much younger woman. Her light and affection bring him out of his darkness and help him live again. Wait, hold on, Does this sound familiar? Obviously this is a theme for me.
Regardless, I adore this book. Hugo is a brooding, ex-soldier, alcoholic and Chloe is a headstrong teenager, but for some reason their romance just works. She brings him back to life and he tempers her. My favorite line from the book goes something like this. (I can't remember word for word, sorry)
Hugo (feeling bad about himself after they've made love...again):
"I'm a horrible person, I've just debauched my ward."
Chloe (grinning from ear to ear and playfully climbing on top of him):
"Debauch me Hugo, Debauch me!"
4. Did you see the '09 Star Trek movie first or the original series? Which do you like better? Do you have any Trek ships?
I actually haven't seen the new movie. I wanted to, but it came out when I was rather pregnant. I planned on going to see it before the baby was born, but I got busy getting ready for him and then he came a month early. It's out on DVD now so I plan on Netflixing it. I'll let you know when I've seen it which I like better.
As for Trek ships, I don't have any for the original series. I'm not a huge fan of slash (although I do dabble in it occasionally) and I never thought any of the Het possibilities really had much chemistry going on.
As for other Star Trek spin offs, I have PLENTY of ships. In fact, Riker/Troy was my very first ship and Imzadi remains one of my favorite books of all time. I also really wanted Captain Picard and Dr. Crusher to get together, but alas, it never happened on screen. I liked Star Trek Voyager even better than TNG, and I was a huge Chakotay/Janeway fan, and so therefore was a bit peeved when he dumped her for the spandex clad blond chick with no personality and she fell in love with a holodeck program, wth?. The fulfillment of the the Tom/B'Lana ship made up for it a little bit though.
5. What is your favorite food?
I used to say it was ice cream and I still really love ice cream, but the older I get the more I appreciate a good dollop of creamy mashed potatoes. Mmmm....they are good plain, covered in gravy, mixed with peas....the possibilities are endless.
